Sex vs Ice Cream, Or Can You Have Both?

My ears pricked up today as I heard in an interview a recipe for ice cream that actually helps with sex-drive!!

Is this not just the most perfect combination??!! I can certainly tell you this will be a staple in our house from now on…

Bullet Proof Get Some Ice Cream

Commercial ice creams are overall pretty rubbish health-wise. With all this low-fat fanaticism, the only way to make it taste good is to load it up with sugar, and all its derivatives. Should I mention all the colours, flavour enhancers, and chemicals to make it the perfect consistency?? The deeper you look into commercial ice cream, the more unappetising it becomes. I have put some of my favourite (and easy) recipes previously:

Chocolate chip Ice Cream

Ice Cream Cake

Fruit Sorbet

During the Get Your SexyBack Summit one of the presenters gave a recipe that he says is virtually guaranteed to give “2 Desserts for the price of 1”  😉 This recipe is known to boost sexual desire within 1 – 2 hours of eating it, so what have you got to lose?

The recipe comes from Dave Asprey, of The Bullet Proof Executive – Dave is on a mission and has ‘bio-hacked’ his way back to great health, and loves to share his knowledge with the world – awesome guy.

Naturally I wanted to share this with you also!

Here it is (copied from Dave Asprey’s website):

“Get Some” Ice Cream
Ingredients

  • 4 whole eggs (pastured of course)
  • 4 yolks (in addition to the whole eggs above)
  • 2 tsp vanilla (I use Bulletproof Vanilla)
  • 1 gram vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or 10 drops apple cider vinegar or lime juice to taste.
  • 100 grams (7 tbs) grass-fed butter
  • 100 grams (7tbs) coconut oil (or substitute half Upgraded Cacao Butter for amazing taste)
  • 50 grams (3tbs + 2tsp) MCT oil (important for consistency)
  • 80 grams (5.5tbs) xylitol or erythritol (or more to taste – you can add up to 160 grams if you want)
  • ~100 grams water or ice (just under 1/2 cup; add less than you think you need, then increase the amount).
  • (optional) 1/4 to 1/2 cup of low-toxin Upgraded Chocolate powder

Method

  1. Blend everything but the water/ice in blender. It takes a while to get the butter blended into perfect creaminess.
  2. Add water or ice and blend some more until well blended. Ideally, you want a yogurt-like consistency for creamy ice cream, or add more water for a firmer, icier texture
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and turn it on.
  4. This will make perfect consistency ice cream. Enjoy it, and share with your partner. Wait an hour.

So there you have it – I can’t wait to try this, and maybe I will report back to you how it was 😉

Take care
