Gummy Bears – GAPS/SCD/Paleo friendly

Its funny how things happen. For some reason the other day my boys were asking me to make some “healthy gummy bears”  which I thought was a sign of how far they’ve come – that they know there is a healthy option, and that the ‘usual’ is not always the ‘best’.

Never, Ever, Give Up

Watching the London 2012 Olympics have been totally inspirational. Its such a treat to watch the creme-de-la-creme participating in their events. Its all seems so glamorous and I watch in awe at their skill, and mostly their physical condition – some athletes’ bodies are a fantastically fearsome site! Its easy to look at them at this point but not really to understand the path it took them to get where they are. For the entire 2 weeks I caught myself repeating to my boys how much effort the athletes have put in to get there, but do we really understand what it means to train for hours and hours a day, week after week, for years on end? And some of the odds they’ve had to face getting there…
